I approached the manufacturer with a warranty claim at the advise of my electrician, but since the unit had been sold with only a two year warranty, the best they would do was sell me the part for $585, perhaps their cost, and leave me to foot the bill for the $300 to install and pay the electrician for troubleshooting. Failure of the rotor with so little use was due to either faulty engineering or manufacturing, there is no scheduled maintenance for that part, so I pressed the manufacturer for a more favorable resolution but they wouldn't budge. By the way, a bit of internet research indicated to me that rotor failures are a known issue with this generator.I am disappointed with the reliability of this product and found it to be a poor investment.
